What do I need to prepare before a treatment?

I would request you to shower before your treatment for hygienic purposes and also because I will require you not to have a shower after your session to fully utilize the benefits of the aromatherapeutic body massage oil that I will use.

What should I expect on my first visit?

You will be required to fill out a health history form. Afterward, I will begin by asking you questions to establish what areas you would like worked on, if any conditions need to be addressed and to determine what treatment is appropriate for you.

It is important to list all health concerns and medications so that I can adapt the session to your specific needs without doing any harm. It is also important to list any allergies, so I am aware if you need to use a different oil during the session.

What does a typical holistic treatment look like?

A massage/bioenergy treatment session often begins with a moment of tranquility and introspection through meditation, setting the tone for a profound healing experience. As clients enter the serene space, the soft ambient music and gentle scents of essential oils envelop them, encouraging a transition from the hustle and bustle of daily life into a more mindful state. With eyes closed and breaths slowed, individuals are guided to focus on their breath, allowing thoughts to drift away like clouds in the sky. This practice fosters a deep connection with the body and mind, heightening awareness of tension or discomfort that may be present.

How will I feel after the treatment?

It is common for your muscles to feel temporarily tired or heavy, like how they feel after a workout. A small number of clients receiving a massage feel achy, flu-like, or complain of headaches. This is due to all the toxins that have been released from your muscles. These symptoms are completely normal and should pass within 24 - 72 hours.

Some people feel cold after a massage as the treatment has encouraged blood to flow near the surface of the skin causing heat loss. During the treatment blankets and towels will prevent you from feeling cold, but please bring warm comfortable clothes to wear home.

After your session, you may also start to feel thirsty. This is because the techniques used in the treatment releases fluids from your muscle tissues and into your vascular system. That means that you must restock all the water lost during your massage. A glass or two more than normal will help keep your body's tissues hydrated and healthy.

Do you accept Male Clients?

Yes, I treat male clients when they fall in the following categories:

1. When I know them in person

2. When referred by or has a personal connection (as husband, partner or brother) with a well-known female client.

3. When referred or advised by a medical or holistic professional to seek holistic therapy.

What is your Cancellation Policy?

Please arrive ten minutes before your appointment to ensure a full session. You may cancel your appointment without charge up to 24 hours preceding your appointment. Same-day cancellations will be charged 50% of the scheduled service price. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for full details.
