FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Workshops and Retreats

What can I expect during my first session?

In our first session, expect a warm and inviting atmosphere where we'll explore your overall well-being. We'll discuss your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects to understand how they interconnect. This involves an in-depth conversation about your history, lifestyle, and goals for therapy. We'll then collaborate to create a personalized treatment plan that nurtures your unique needs, promoting balance and healing.

Do you accept Male Clients?

As a holistic therapist, my practice is built on creating a safe and supportive space for healing and growth. While I primarily work with individuals referred to me, I do accept male clients on a referral basis. This allows me to ensure that my therapeutic approach aligns with their specific needs and that I can provide the most effective and beneficial care for their unique journey. I believe in fostering strong therapeutic relationships built on trust and mutual understanding.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Life happens, and I understand that unexpected situations can arise. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. This allows me to offer the time to another client and keeps my practice flowing smoothly. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be subject to a cancellation fee of  €35 or the current applicable rate, whichever is higher. I appreciate your understanding and respect for my time.

Why do I feel sore after a Holistic Deep Tissue Massage?

It's common to experience some soreness after a massage, similar to how you might feel after a workout. During the session, deep tissue work can release toxins and inflammatory substances that have been stored in your muscles. This temporary discomfort is a sign that your body is responding and healing. Staying hydrated and gentle stretching can help alleviate any soreness and promote continued relaxation. Think of it as your body's way of saying "thank you" for the attention!

How often do I need to get a massage therapy treatment?

For those who use massage as preventative care or to manage daily stress, one massage a month is common.

As a holistic therapist, I often recommend an initial series of massage therapy treatments to address any underlying tension, imbalances, for injury relief or to relieve chronic tightness that is interfering with your daily life. Ideally, starting with a massage every two weeks for the first 3-4 sessions allows us to build momentum and create lasting positive changes in your body and mind. After this initial cohort, we can reassess your progress and collaboratively decide on a maintenance schedule that best supports your individual needs and well-being.

Can I bring my children into the studio?

We strive to maintain a comforting and calm environment so as a courtesy, it is asked that you do not bring in infants or toddlers in. Children may not at any time be left unattended and unsupervised in the studio.

What is the difference between the In - Person and Online Breathwork Meditation Class?

We have omitted the setback on your transformative healing journey and made the course accessible.

The Online Class is a weekly live online guided Breathwork Meditation Class accessible to be watched at the comforts of your home via your mobile, personal computer, or laptop.

The In-Person Class is a weekly live In-Person guided Breathwork Meditation Class held in Studio confirmed before the event.

What does a typical guided breathwork meditation look like?

While the technique remains mostly the same across all sessions, what you will experience and heal will vary from session to session, and person to person.

First, I open with a grounding meditation to come fully into the practice, and then we will set an intention for the session according to the Learning Pillar set for the week.

You’ll be in ‘active breathing’ for 20-35 minutes depending on the length of the session. Trust me, this will feel like 5 minutes once it’s over. Then we move back to normal breathing and Guided Breathwork Meditation.

This is where I feel as though all the magic happens. Your body is open and expanded, you are connected to your highest self and an open channel for information, messages, or just feelings of bliss.

Do I get support when I am stuck?

Absolutely! Whether you are attending an In-Person or Online Class, I will be there to support you and give you guidance and adjustments tailored to your needs. For online participants seeking guidance and have questions please email me at info@thesanctuaryholisticstudio.com

What is the time commitment?

There are 8 x weekly 30-minute video training classes that can be watched at your own pace so you can work through everything in a way that works best for you. We encourage you to watch these videos to support you in gaining a better understanding of body, mind, and emotional health and emotional integration.

Beyond that, we'll have our 8 x weekly 60 minutes guided breathwork meditation to provide space for expression of unexpressed emotion, bringing about increased levels of clarity and connection.

What is the difference between breathwork meditation and meditation?

Breathwork, while a form of meditation, is done for healing and transformation. Meditation is more about anchoring you into the present moment and is rooted in relaxation and mental clarity.

While daily meditation can be transformative, breathwork is the most efficient modality I have found to push you through emotional and energetic barriers, open your heart to clarity, and heal from past traumas.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

Courses must be canceled 2 weeks in advance before the start of the term to get a 100% refund. Missed course sessions are non-transferrable unless by prior agreement with the teacher/studio. Please note that a recorded class will be sent every Saturday to allow students to catch up on a missed class. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for full details.
